Deleting your account.
You can do it yourself, from inside the app, and change your mind for a day afterwards.
Four taps, and a day to change your mind.
Open Sevi, go to Settings, scroll to Delete account, and confirm. Nothing is removed straight away: the request is scheduled 24 hours out and the app shows a countdown until then.
Open the app at any point during those 24 hours and tap Keep my account, and the request is cancelled. Nothing was touched in the meantime.
After 24 hours the deletion runs on its own, whether or not the app is open or installed.
Everything held under your account.
Your sign-in and user id, every itinerary saved to the cloud, your credit balance and purchase records, your notification token, and your membership of every expense group and shared trip. Your name and avatar stop appearing in groups you were part of.
It is not a flag or a hidden account. The records are deleted.
Two things, and both for a reason.
Trips and groups other people are in. A trip you shared belongs to everyone on it, and an expense group is a record of what a group of people agreed. Deleting your account removes you from both; it does not delete somebody else's copy of a plan you made together.
Documents in your Travel Wallet. Those were never on our servers. They are encrypted on your phone, and they go when you delete them or remove the app.
Write to us instead.
Email [email protected] from the address you signed in with, and ask us to delete your account. We will confirm when it is done, normally within a few days.
We ask you to write from the same address because it is the only thing that tells us the request is yours. If you cannot, tell us what you can and we will work out another way to be sure.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Google Play or the App Store and have to be cancelled there, which you can do before or after. See Privacy for what we hold and why.
